I found these plain wooden shapes at Dollar Tree. Each package of 10 was just $1.
My children both have cute little name signs on their doors already, but I have a neice and nephew (twins) on the way and the twins have two older brothers. My sister in law has been on a bit of a nesting kick and has been anxious to redecorate the older boys rooms. I wanted to do something fun for all the kids and not break the budget! This is what I came up with:
A little bit of craft paint and ribbon that I already had on hand, followed by a clear coat to protect and Cayte's finished chain looked like this:
By the time you calculate the portions of paint and ribbon, all four chains cost me less than $5 and took just a couple hours to complete!
Enjoy!

Cute! Have you seen all the fun foam shapes? I'm making a Happy Birthday banner for my niece out of the large foam flowers and the foam butterflies.
