See the Family Dollar Corporate Coupon Policy . According to my local store- They also allow the combination of manufacturer coupons and store coupons in most cases (they should work, but if the computer doesn't allow it, they won't). My local store wasn't sure why some work and some don't, but most do.
**Remember that Free After Coupon deals using dollar amount coupons are YMMV. I've not yet been able to get a clear policy from Family Dollar on this. Their policy states that they don't take "coupons for free items", but dollar off amounts that make items free are not "free item" coupons. Some stores refuse them, some allow them. My local store allows them.**
You can find your local store here. They also have their ad and store coupons printable online here, but I wouldn't worry about printing the store coupons, there are always tons of them in store so why waste the ink?

i saw at the bottom that the $2/2 reach toothbrushes was a ymmv-- back in the summer i had 2 of those coupons and my local family dollar refused to let me use them since i would be getting the items "free". i told them that i would be contacting the corporate office over this, and the employees just rolled their eyes at me! so, i did contact corporate, and within two days a manager returned my call, listened to my story, and agreed that i was right. she apologized, called my local store and told them to take the coupons, then called me back and told me to go on down there, that she had taken care of it. as soon as i walked in the store, the cashier that had refused the coupons went to their breakroom and stayed there while i was in the store. the other cashier that rang me apologized profusely to me over the hassle and the fact that the male cashier had no idea what their coupon policy was. anyways, i don't think these are a ymmv, some of the cashiers are just uneducated!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know. I'm going to leave them as YMMV for now as many people are still running into problems and corporate is not nearly as responsive with everyone. I have yet to get anything in writing from them like I have asked for, so I'll continue to err on the side of caution for now. But very glad you were able to get it sorted out at your local store!
